Mission & Objectives

Journal Mission:

      The Durar Journal for Islamic Studies is dedicated to publishing original, peer-reviewed scholarly research in various fields of Islamic studies, including jurisprudence and its principles, creed and Islamic thought, Qur’anic sciences and exegesis, and Hadith and its sciences, in addition to comparative, linguistic, legal, and historical studies related to Islamic disciplines. The journal aims to be a credible scientific platform that contributes to the advancement of academic research and promotes the values of moderation and balance by presenting reliable scholarly content that meets the needs of researchers and those interested in contemporary Islamic issues. It also seeks to support dedicated researchers and enrich the Islamic academic library with scholarly output that is responsive to present-day developments and offers balanced academic insight into contemporary challenges.

Journal Objectives:

  1. To publish peer-reviewed scholarly research characterized by originality and rigorous academic methodology across various branches of Islamic sciences.
  2. To promote academic activity within and beyond the institution by providing a scientific platform for researchers specializing in Islamic studies.
  3. To contribute to addressing contemporary intellectual and social issues from a balanced Islamic scholarly perspective.
  4. To encourage comparative studies and knowledge integration between Islamic sciences and other humanities disciplines.
  5. To contribute to the preservation of Islamic heritage and reinterpret it using modern academic approaches and contemporary language.
  6. To support scholarly communication among researchers at the local, regional, and international levels through publication in both Arabic and English.
  7. To enhance openness to global academic institutions and strive for inclusion in international databases and indexing platforms such as Scopus and participation in initiatives of reputable academic organizations such as DOAJ and COPE.
  8. To adhere to international publishing standards in terms of quality, academic integrity, respect for intellectual property rights, and the assurance of rigorous peer-review processes.
