About the Journal

Durar Journal for Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed scientific journal concerned with Islamic and human studies and research, issued by the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Diyala.

  • The journal is published semiannually (every six months), issuing between 12 and 15 research papers annually.
  • The journal is open access, meaning that all content is available free of charge to the user or their institution.
  • Scientific research shall be published on electronic platforms, with the possibility of providing the researcher with a certified paper copy for the purposes of scientific promotion or annual evaluation.
  • The approved language is Arabic first, then English second.
  • Published research expresses the opinions of its authors and does not necessarily represent the views of the editorial board.
  • The journal receives research related to Islamic studies in all types of Islamic knowledge.
  • The journal also receives financial, economic, legal, and historical research related to Islamic law, which constitutes an intellectual addition in its field of specialization.
  • The Journal combines authenticity and modernity, taking into account renewal and modernization based on an authentic scientific approach.
  • The Journal respects religious and intellectual diversity, far from fanaticism and rigidity.
